PitchMap ("we", "us", "our") is a ball-tracking analytics app for club cricket, currently in a closed beta for users aged 18 and over. Here's what we collect, why, and how to get it removed.
PitchMap is an independent app run by a solo developer. For any privacy question or request, email gillpbk@gmail.com.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or payment information, and we do not show advertising.
PitchMap displays cricket performance data — scorecards, ball-tracking analytics, and match video clips — for players of the participating club. Some of this data may relate to identifiable individuals. This data originates from the club's own match records. If you believe your data (or that of someone you are responsible for, such as a child) is shown and you would like it removed or restricted, contact us at the address above.
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Our analytics are hosted in the EU. Where any provider processes data outside the UK/EU, that transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to run the beta, and delete or anonymise it on request or when the beta ends. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for a limited period to understand usage trends.
Under UK/EU data-protection law you have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it ("right to erasure"); restrict or object to processing; and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email gillpbk@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
To delete your account and associated personal data, email gillpbk@gmail.com with the address you signed up with, and we will remove it. (In-app self-service deletion will be added before general release.)
PitchMap is intended for users aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly allow under-18s to create an account. As noted in section 3, cricket data shown in the app may relate to younger club players; that data comes from the club's records, and any request to remove a child's data (from a parent or guardian) will be actioned promptly.
We may update this policy as the app develops. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
